International School of Beijing (ISB) students have become published authors in a special supplement to one of the world’s most respected publications. For the second month running, The New York Times for Kids features work by members of the Middle School’s Young Writers Club.
The Young Writers Club launched as an after-school activity in November. It benefits from a partnership with The New York Times that allows these budding journalists to work with professional guest editors associated with the newspaper.
You can read their writing in the links below.
Book reviews by ISB’s Grace H, Eva Y, and Afreen L were selected for the December edition. And Rayna M, Grade 8, had a poem and essay published by The New York Times for Kids here.
ISB is an extraordinary school, made so by a tradition of educational excellence spanning 40 years. Establishing, nurturing, and growing such an exceptional learning community has been and remains intentional; we work hard to build strong relationships so our learning is at its best.
