What does good fortune look like through the eyes of our community?
This year, ISB students, families, staff, and alumni are once again invited to help answer that question by submitting original artwork for the official 2026–2027 ISB Hong Bao collection.
Following the success of last year’s launch, the ISB Hong Bao Design Initiative returns as an annual community tradition, bringing together creativity, culture, and generosity in a meaningful way. Rooted in Chinese tradition, hong bao symbolize good fortune, celebration, and giving. At ISB, they have also become a way to showcase the imagination of our community while supporting opportunities that enrich student learning.
Selected designs will become part of the official ISB Hong Bao collection, which will be sold in support of ISB Annual Giving.
A Creative Tradition with a Purpose
This initiative is open to the whole ISB community. Whether you are a student with a bold idea, a parent who loves to draw, a staff member with a creative spark, or an alum looking for a way to stay connected, we invite you to take part.
Your design might be playful, traditional, abstract, symbolic, colorful, simple, or full of detail. It might celebrate ISB, Beijing, challenging and joyful learning, community, generosity, or the feeling of good fortune itself.
The most important thing is that the artwork is original and created by you.
Supporting ISB Giving
All funds raised through the ISB Hong Bao collection will support ISB Annual Giving, our annual community campaign that unites families, alumni, faculty, and friends to support meaningful opportunities that enrich learning and enhance the student experience.
At the heart of ISB Annual Giving is the Annual Fund, which provides flexible support for projects and ideas that directly benefit students throughout the year. These may include creative learning spaces, visiting authors and experts, student leadership and well-being initiatives, innovation and pilot programs, and professional learning for teachers that strengthens instructional excellence.
ISB Giving also supports key initiatives including the Student Empowerment Fund, Sustainable Campus, and the JADE Program, helping create opportunities for student-led innovation, environmental action, cultural immersion, and global learning.
